For clarity, a commercial property is any property that is rented out or leased by the council for the purposes of returning an income to the council.

The amount paid and class of the building is publicly available from land registry records.

• The date the purchase was made: The majority of the properties held were inherited from Berkshire County Council when we became a unitary authority. Others were developed as part of a regeneration scheme so the date of purchase will reflect parcels of land and buildings as part of a site assembly exercise as opposed to acquisition of individual properties. Details of date of acquisition will also be available at Land Registry (using addresses provided) which is publicly accessible information.
• The amount paid for the property: This information is publicly available from Land Registry records
• The current planning use class of the building (for example, Class E - Commercial, Business and Service): This information is publicly available from Land Registry records
• Whether the property is currently being rented or leased (Yes/No) (as of 18 April, 2023): This information is Commercially sensitive
