I am seeking information concerning the number of warnings and fixed penalty notices given to businesses breaking COVID regulations since March 2020 – January 2021, and also separately just the month of January 2021. I would like to know:

a) The total number of warnings issued by Wokingham Borough Council to businesses who have breached COVID regulations/law from March 2020 to January 2021
Information in this form is not recorded. October to December 2020; 39 premises were found to be non compliant during Covid Compliance Visits; verbal/written warnings would be issued for non compliances.

b) The total number of warnings issued by Wokingham Borough Council to businesses who have breached COVID regulations/law in the month of January 2021
Information in this form is not recorded. January 2021; 10 premises were found to be non compliant during Covid Compliance Visits; verbal/written warnings would be issued or non compliances

Over the time period asked about we have changed the way we record the information and therefore in terms of question 1 we can only give information from Oct 2020 onward (also this information relates to the Covid Compliance Visits carried out rather than reactive complaints). We record whether premises are compliance or non compliant – rather than by ‘Warnings’ issued. We record whether formal action have been taken.
