We are trying to establish of a potential issue in relation to the Ash Ridge Waste Water Sewage Treatment Works near Mulberry View Crest Nicholson Development at Dalley Road and adjoining area.

1. Please kindly advise what complaints have been logged and received in relation to odour nuisance?
Environmental Health have received five complaints in relation to odour (1 in 2008, 1 in 2013, 1 in 2020, 2 in 2021).

2. Please also advise what works Thames Water have undertaken to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements including under the Environment Acts in relation to the smell/odour nuisance and close proximity to residential properties?
We do not hold this information. Any actions taken by Thames Water would be with them and you will need to contact them directly about this.

3. Please also advise what mitigation both the developer and Thames Water have undertaken to ensure that owners and occupiers of adjoining and neighbouring properties are protected and not impacted due to the foul odour and in particular in relation to this development and in relation to 10 Lockhart Drive Wokingham (Plot 9).

4. Please kindly forward the planning application together with the S106 and the Thames Water Report in relation to the odour assessment/impact and Crest Nicholson’s Report in relation to the odour assessment/impact from the sewage treatment plant.
Planning applications are available on the Councils website and therefore we are applying Section 21 exemption to this. In addition to this, anything that Thames Water or the Developer hold would need to be requested directly through them as its not information the Council hold. https://www.wokingham.gov.uk/planning/
