Not applicable

4. Does your council offer support or remediation plans for AMHPs who are at risk of not being re-approved? If so, please describe these programs.
Yes. Where the panel has not recommended re-approval, the panel will provide reasons, and may make recommendations for further training or other work before a re-application is considered.

5. Is there an established appeal process for AMHPs who are denied re-approval? If yes, how many appeals have been made in the past five years, and what were their outcomes?
Yes. No appeals in last 5 years.
Impact on Workforce: High potential for burnout due to increased workload (MHA assessments).

6. How does the council address potential shortages in AMHP staffing due to non-approvals? Are there strategies in place to mitigate any negative impacts on service delivery?
Short-term strategy is via locum AMHPs, and the long-term is providing opportunities for existing Social Workers in team to complete training to be AMHPs. Currently this is proving appealing to Social Workers.
