a) How many people do you employ to carry out farm animal welfare inspections as part of their duties?
3 - 2 FTE’s for the Public Protection Partnership, covering West Berkshire, Wokingham and Bracknell Local Authority areas.
b) How many farm animal welfare inspections did they complete?
Proactive physical inspections to farms were stopped in March 2020 for the year due to COVID. Reactive physical inspections following complaints were undertaken if welfare concerns had been raised and they couldn’t be dealt with remotely.

11. How many people do you employ to carry out enforcement of the Animal Health Act 1981 as part of their duties?
As above.
