1. How many Trading Standards Officers in your Local Authority (by FTE) in each of the following years: 2007,2008,2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2018,2019,2020,2021?
During 2018 and 2019 Public Protection Partnership (covering the Local Authorities of Bracknell Forest, Wokingham and West Berkshire) employed 10.8 FTE Trading Standards Officers and in 2020 and 2021 10.5 FTE. Information from before the Public Protection partnership was formed is no longer available.

2. How many Trading Standards Officers hold qualifications in Animal Health and Welfare for these years?
All the above.

3. Number of full-time equivalent animal health qualified staff working on Animal Health And Welfare Enforcement in your Local Authority for these years?
2018: 1.45 FTE
2019: 1.3 FTE
2020:2.2 FTE
2021: 2.2 FTE

Of these FTE’s 0.2 is a Trading Standards Officer – the rest from Animal Health qualified Enforcement Officers

4. How many premises with an animal health & welfare inspection risk were there in your Local Authority for these years? (How many of these were farms?)
Premise on the database are fluid in number as they change as premise open and close. Currently we have 158 premise with a range of Animal Health risks attached - of these 111 are various sized livestock farms/premises.

5. How many complaints or referrals relating to animal health and welfare were received for these years?

2020 - Proactive physical inspections to farms etc were stopped in March 2020 for the year due to COVID. Reactive physical visits were undertaken if welfare related and couldn’t be dealt with remotely.
Due to the recording of the data – these programmed inspections will include where an officer has attended and found there to be no livestock.
