1. Could you provide me with a list of projects that your authority spent it's Active travel fund allocation on, as reported here - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/emergency-active-travel-fund-local-transport-authority-allocations/emergency-active-travel-fund-total-indicative-allocations)
With regards to the phase 1 funding allocation (£76,000), it was mainly used on Wokingham Town Centre improvements during the early stages of the pandemic. Please see below list of items for more details:
- Pedestrian crossing improvements on Wiltshire Road, Peach street, Broad Street and Shute End that have been retained and
- Temporary covid information signs

In November 2020 WBC was awarded £576,650 (£461.32k capital and £115.33k revenue) through the Active Travel Fund 2 to improve walking and cycling provision within the borough. An initial engagement exercise was undertaken in spring 2021 on three scheme proposals that have been identified as strategic connections within our emerging Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).

Based on the received responses the Woodley / Reading Route has been highlighted as the scheme with the most significant impact on reducing car dependency and increasing bike use. The full engagement summary from the initial consultation is available to read as part of the individual executive member decision made in July 2021. Since the initial consultation we have been progressing with the detailed designs for the Woodley / Reading Active Travel Route and a public engagement exercise is due to take place in January 2022 on the detailed plans for the scheme.
