Wokingham Borough Community Vision 2035

The Communities Vision 2035 has been officially adopted by the council, marking a significant milestone in our journey toward a brighter future. This comprehensive document, shaped by extensive community input and collaboration, lays out a framework of our aspirations and commitments to guide our direction over the next decade and beyond.

What This Means

The adoption of Communities Vision 2035 signifies our commitment along with our partners to fostering a thriving, inclusive, and healthy community. The Council will use it to inform strategic planning and service delivery, while continuing to collaborate with partners and the local community to achieve the outlined ambitions.

Official Launch

Council Plan 2025 to 2030

We are currently drafting our new council plan for 2025-2030. This is being developed with the views and comments of our residents and will help us to know what areas we need to focus and prioritise our efforts and resources. It will go through a formal consultation in 2025 before finalising any details.

Council Plan 2022 to 2024

The Council Plan 2022 to 2024 is a refresh of the Corporate Delivery Plan 2020 to 2024. It sets out the 7 strategic priorities we will focus on between 2022 and 2024, to improve outcomes for you, our residents, our businesses and the environment.

Our 7 strategic priorities are:

Delivering the right homes in the right places
Keeping the borough moving
Changing the way we work for you
Being the best we can be

Under each of these strategic priorities we explain the main challenges, what we plan to do and the work we will undertake with our partners. We also set out our expectations of what success will look like so that we can measure progress in delivering the Community Vision.
