Our Community Vision for Wokingham Borough

Wokingham Borough Community Vision 2020 to 2024

Our Community Vision for Wokingham Borough is for it to become:

'A great place to live, learn, work and grow and a great place to do business.'

This was approved by full council in February 2020 and covers the 4-year period 2020/21 to 2024/25.

Wokingham Borough Council Plan 2022

The Council Plan 2022-24 is a refresh of the Corporate Delivery Plan 2020-24. It sets out the seven strategic priorities we will focus on between 2022 and 2024 - to improve outcomes for you, our residents, our businesses and the environment.

Our seven strategic priorities are:

  • Enriching lives
  • Providing safe, strong communities 
  • Enjoying a clean and green borough   
  • Delivering the right homes in the right places
  • Keeping the borough moving
  • Changing the way we work for you
  • Being the best we can be

Under each of these strategic priorities we explain the main challenges, what we plan to do and the work we will undertake with our partners. We also set out our expectations of what success will look like so that we can measure progress in delivering the Community Vision.

The Council Plan will be monitored within our services, using corporate performance measures which have been identified to track our progress.
