1. Please will you supply the following with regard to the Barkham Solar panel farm.
a) how much will the maintenance of the farm cost cleaning, engineering and other ? We are yet to enter into contract for such. Assumptions have been made as part of the business case for the project, but at this time those are commercially sensitive and are therefore exempt from release under FOI.

c) have you started training construction workers? No
d) when the grid is at capacity how do you turn off the panels? This is all managed through curtailment flows, we are not expecting any curtailment on this project. Automated cut outs are also installed.
e) how much subsidy do you expect to receive per annum for turning off the supply? None
f) how much interest will have to be paid for the capital investment? This will depend on final project costs which are not confirmed at this time. Assumptions have been made as part of the business case for the project, but at this time those are commercially sensitive and are therefore exempt from release under FOI.
g) what alternative uses for the land such as farming were considered? As part of its asset management, the Council considered options across its whole estate to contribute to the Council’s following key priorities: service need, climate emergency action plan, revenue generation, and housing need. Having regard to local context, the Solar Farm was identified as the preferred option for the Barkham site.
h) please by percentage the equipment and installation cost by country of supply? We do not hold this information.
i) Have the above been factored in to the £500,000 income you expect? Assumptions for the above have been included in the business case for the project.
