Reporting serious defects in Thorough Examinations
See notes
We are seeking information on the appropriate contact within your Local Authority for submitting Thorough Examination reports that identify serious defects in lifting equipment (forklifts, telehandlers, tractors, MEWPs etc.). In some cases, this responsibility falls under Environmental Health Officers, but we understand this may vary between authorities. Please could you confirm:
1. The department and/or role responsible for receiving reports of serious defects identified during Thorough Examinations of lifting equipment within your Local Authority.
Marcus Herbert is the Service Manager for Environmental Health.
2. The preferred contact details (name, email address, phone number) for submitting such reports.
All reports should be emailed to environmental.health@wokingham.gov.uk.
3. If responsibility is shared across multiple departments, a brief outline of how cases are handled.
Not applicable.
4. A list of postcode districts covered by the responsible contact(s).
This is available on the internet so were are applying Section 21 exemption. You are able to locate this information from various sources using a search engine to look for post codes which cover the Wokingham Borough. Depending on how you want this formatted would determine which website would be best for the data in how they present it or allow it to be extracted.
