I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding the allocation of one-bedroom properties within Wokingham Borough. Could you please provide the following details:
1. The number of people currently on the waiting list for a one-bedroom property in Band 1, Band 2, Band 3, and Band 4 as of February 2025.
Band 1: 26
Band 2: 14
Band 3: 114
Band 4: 335
Band 5: 73
2. The total number of one-bedroom properties available for allocation within the council’s housing stock.

3. The number of one-bedroom properties allocated in the past 12 months (February 2024 – February 2025).

4. The average waiting time for applicants in Band 1, Band 3, and Band 4 for a one-bedroom property over the past two years.
Band 1: 1.3 months
Band 3: 1.4 months
Band 4: 1.7 months
Please note this is the average length of time that applicants who have been nominated for a 1 bed property in these bands have waited within the past two years; this is note the average wait time of every applicant within the band who qualifies for a 1 bed property; only those who have been successfully nominated.
5. Any expected changes in the availability of one-bedroom properties in the near future, such as new developments or planned acquisitions.
