Please can I request answers to the following questions under the Freedom of Information Act? For each of these calendar years - 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 - please answer the following questions:

1. How many potholes were reported to the council by members of the public?
The numbers of all pothole reports for the calendar years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 is provided below. It is not possible to distinguish potholes reported by members of the public from potholes detected as part of the council’s own monitoring.
2021: 1127
2022: 1125
2023: 2548
2024: 1412

2. How many potholes were detected as part of the council’s own monitoring?

3. How many claims for pothole-related damage did the council receive from drivers?
In the 2021 calendar year a total of 20 claims for damage to vehicles/bicycles, allegedly caused by potholes, were made against the council. 6 of these claims have been paid, the average amount being £407.60.
In the 2022 calendar year a total of 32 claims for damage to vehicles/bicycles, allegedly caused by potholes, were made against the council. 13 of these claims have been paid, the average amount being £424.93.
In the 2023 calendar year a total of 144 claims for damage to vehicles/bicycles, allegedly caused by potholes, were made against the council. 50 of these claims have been paid, the average amount being £276.99.
In the 2024 calendar year a total of 83 claims for damage to vehicles/bicycles, allegedly caused by potholes, were made against the council. 22 of these claims have been paid, the average amount being £456.58.

4. How many claims resulted in the council paying out to drivers (i.e. the number of successful pothole-related damage claims recorded)?
