Pothole compensation

I hope this finds you well. I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 provision. I kindly request the following information:
1. The number of motorists who have lodged a complaint about a pothole and requested compensation.
2. The number of people who have received a payout for pothole compensation.
3. The total amount paid by the council for pothole compensation.
Please provide the data for each of these points over the last three years (June 2021 -May 2022, June 2022 – May 2023, June 2023 -May 2024), broken down by year.
Please note that the council records claims data by calendar year and, as such, we have provided the requested information by calendar year.
In 2021 a total of 18 motorists made a claim for compensation following alleged ‘pothole’ damage to their vehicles. 6 of these claims have been paid at a total of £2,445.57.
In 2022 a total of 31 motorists made a claim for compensation following alleged ‘pothole’ damage to their vehicles. 13 of these claims have been paid at a total of £4,572.12.
In 2023 a total of 139 motorists made a claim for compensation following alleged ‘pothole’ damage to their vehicles. 49 of these claims have been paid at a total of £13,523.36.
