Please can you provide me with information on EPC ratings.
1. How many of your local authorities social homes has an EPC rating of D or below in each financial year since 2018/19
2. How many of your local authorities social homes has an EPC rating of C or above in each financial year since 2018/19
3. How many of your local authorities social homes have been upgraded from a Band EPC D or below to C or above for each financial year since 2018/19
4. How much have you spent on upgrading your local authorities social homes insulation in each financial year since 2018/19
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the requested information within the 18-hour time limit (Section 12) for the following reasons:
The last bulk data load of EPCs was completed based on our stock condition surveys. Currently, EPCs are only updated when a property becomes void/MEX and there is no existing EPC or the existing one is over 10 years old. Due to a government embargo in December 2021 on downloading EPC data in bulk, all data is held with third party provider. Individual EPCs can be viewed by respective holders, and administrative access allows viewing all EPCs, but extracting this data manually would exceed the 18-hour limit.
Additionally, the way EPC data was recorded previously is not broken down by year. The embargo is expected to be reconsidered in June 2024, which may allow us to download the data more efficiently in the future.
