1. When employees claim overtime how does the council prove this? Do they take their words to pay them from the publics pot? Or have you a clocking in system?
All overtime must be pre-approved by the line manager and the budget manager. Where possible the option of time off in lieu (TOIL) should be considered prior to payment for overtime being approved. Should time in lieu not be an appropriate option, payment for overtime should be agreed in advance with the budget manager.

2. What happens when working from home, how do you prove the hours?
Colleagues working from home are line managed in the same way as those working from an office base and have regular contact with their line manager to review working hours and output. Council Officers also have to connect to the Council Network via a secure VPN which IT are able to review times logged on.

3. Do you have any musicians who work for Wokingham Borough Council offices?
No.
