3. Is your internal and external comms/content currently provided in BSL for the Deaf community? Yes
a) If yes, do you outsource these BSL translations to an agency? Yes, the council has contracts with various suppliers to provide interpreting and translation services including BSL interpreters.
b) If no, do you have a budget in place and plans to deliver this in BSL throughout 2023/24?

5. Are you currently providing Deaf awareness training to your Staff?
Wokingham Borough Council cover deaf awareness at a high level on our mandatory Customer Experience Learning Programme. We are currently developing a deaf awareness e-learning module and all social care staff are provided with sensory awareness training every 6 months.
