I am writing to you regarding your current service and interventions for young people and children 10-25 years at risk of abuse (including domestic abuse, intimate partner abuse, peer-to-peer abuse) or young people and children 10-25 years at risk of perpetrating abuse (including child-and-adolescent-to-parent-abuse, intimate partner abuse, peer-to-peer abuse).

1. What services and interventions do you currently have in place for this population (including safe accommodation)?
Commissioned domestic abuse service is in place to support victim-survivors of abuse, including children and those living in safe accommodation is in place. Commissioned service to provide adult perpetrator interventions.

Support for younger perpetrators of abuse is provided by the most appropriate service to meet the child’s needs and this could be by the commissioned service’s children and young person worker or through other local specialist services who work with children and young people where there has been a history of domestic abuse and the child is using abusive behaviours.

Our commissioned service, as well as a local by and for domestic abuse service have been working with schools to support delivery of PHSE and RSE education to identify those who are at risk of abuse as well as those who are at risk of perpetrating abuse.

In addition to the above there are many local organisations and charities who support children and young people affected by domestic abuse and IPA and a full directory of these services can be found at: http://directory.wokingham.gov.uk/domestic-abuse

2. What outcomes have been achieved from these interventions?
The commissioned service produces qualitative and quantitative data to measure outcomes including feelings of safety and victim feedback on perpetrator interventions.

3. What evaluations have taken place from these interventions?
The commissioned service is evaluated via Key Performance Indicators as well as data and case studies. When deciding what programmes to deliver, the commissioned service takes into account evaluations of the programmes available to identify suitable programmes. Feedback is sought following delivery of interventions to evaluate effectiveness.
