Complain about a SEND issue
Share your concerns
If you are unhappy with the special educational needs and disability (SEND) support your child gets, or a service you have received, contact the service provider first to share your concerns. This could be:
- a nursery, school, or college
- a GP surgery
- a charity
- a company
- our special educational needs and disability (SEND) service
- services within children's or adult social care
Raise your concern as soon as you can and talk to someone in the service or organisation.

Disagreement resolution service
The disagreement resolution service is when an impartial professional helps everyone reach an agreement through discussion.
This service covers all children and young people with SEND, not just those who are being assessed for or who have an education, health and care plan (EHCP).
The service is:
- free to use
- independent from the council
- voluntary and everyone must agree to be involved
The disagreement could be with:
- your child’s school or other education provider
- the local authority (Wokingham Borough Council)
- health professionals
