The CAN network
The children with additional needs network and card
The CAN information network is an information and support service for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), up to age 25, and their families.
All families can receive regular e-updates on what is happening locally.
For those eligible to join the Children with Disabilities Register
Children and young people with a diagnosed disability can sign up to the Children with Disabilities Register and receive a photo ID card. The card is recognised by many local leisure attractions and may enable some concessions.
