Help to manage your direct payments

You may choose to nominate someone to assist you with managing your prepaid card and direct payments. However, this person cannot be your Personal Assistant (PA) or care provider. The nominated individual will help you make payments using your prepaid card, which will remain in your name.

If your nominated person misuses the card, you will be responsible for repaying any funds involved.

Person lacks capacity to manage their direct payments

If a person has been assessed as lacking capacity under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, an authorised representative will act in their best interest and manage the direct payments on their behalf.
