Who can apply for LWP?

Who can apply?

To apply for Local Welfare Provision you must be at least 16 years old and:

• Be a resident of Wokingham Borough, or
• Have been housed out of the area by us, or
• Be able to demonstrate, through a financial assessment, that they are unable to meet the costs of the emergency, or
• Be able to demonstrate that it has not been possible to secure support from other means

And:

• Need essential help to become established, or to remain, in the community, or
• Must require essential assistance with an emergency
