WHAT YOU WILL GAIN FROM WORKING WITH US
We are proud of our team and what we can offer staff who wish to join us. We recognise that joining a new school is as much about what we can provide as it is about what the successful applicant can give to us. Therefore, we offer the following through our school and The Keys Academy Trust:
• A commitment to your professional development, with key links to sport support providers and the opportunity to network and share ideas / co-produce with other sports leads within the Trust.
• A vibrant, fun and welcoming staff and environment.
• An exciting chance to work in a unique set of schools across two sites with excellent facilities, including a swimming pool.
• The chance to be a part of our exciting curriculum design process and evidence-based practice, taking a leading role in shaping PE for current and future groups of pupils.
• Support to develop skills in key areas (e.g. designing lesson plans) if required, through experts within the Trust.

WHAT TYPE OF PERSON ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking someone who is passionate about sport and health, an excellent teacher/coach, and someone who is knowledgeable about shaping progressive units of PE for pupils. The successful candidate may be a previous teacher, sports coach (in or out of education), personal trainer or other specialist who has transferrable skills. A key quality for us is that the Director of Sport is able to manage their time effectively, plan and deliver excellent lessons and contribute to the wider school community by supporting events.
All our successful applicants will be expected to embrace life as a ‘primary school’ across two sites (including travelling between sites). Although we are C of E schools, applicants do not need to be of Christian faith; all faiths or no particular religion are welcomed to apply.
