Wheatfield Primary School are looking for a Nurture Assistant to provide pastoral care, behaviour and learning support for pupils across the school. 

Your opportunity

We are looking to appoint a Nurture Assistant who will play a key role in leading pastoral care support for children at Wheatfield Primary School. The successful candidate will plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group pastoral support programmes. Their work will enable the children to express their emotions safely and to develop their ability to think through situations. They will work alongside the school's Inclusion Lead and assist the school's safeguarding team.

What we are looking for

  • The ability to respond effectively to support a wide range of pastoral, behavioural and learning needs
  • A colleague with experience of working successfully with primary aged children
  • A member of the team who is passionate about positively changing the lives of children/students
  • Someone who is a trained Emotional Literacy Support Assistant or Thrive Practitioner (or willing to undertake training)
  • A positive, open-minded professional actively supportive of the ethos, vision and values of the school

Salary: Associate 3.1 - £22,982 FTE

Actual Salary: £17,849 actual
