This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work alongside our experienced Information Governance Manager/DPO to help manage and develop our Data Protection function, which serves our 42 schools and all our stakeholders.

Your Opportunity

You will work independently, but with guidance from our Information Governance Manager, to manage our helpdesk, triaging incoming enquiries and responding or escalating as required.

There will also be the opportunity for you to be involved with reviewing, improving, updating and implementing training materials, guidance, systems and processes.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Information Governance Officer to utilise their expertise, or for someone with experience of working a similar compliance role to further develop their knowledge of UK GDPR working alongside our experienced Information Governance Manager.

The job may be based in any of our regional offices (Banstead, Caterham, Crawley, Camberley or Banbury) but we operate a hybrid working model. Occasional travel may be required to our Head Office in Banstead and to our schools across the South East.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with:

  • A good understanding of the requirements of UK GDPR
  • Experience of dealing with Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information requests, or working in a similar compliance environment
  • Experience of managing a helpdesk, database or other recording system, including producing regular reporting
  • Highly process driven

Salary - £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience (GLF Specialist grade)
