Do you have experience or a passion to work and support children throughout their school day? This is an incredibly rare opportunity to lead the day to day experiences children have in our Sunflower Wrap-Around Care Club as well as being a senior member of support staff (HLTA), helping our  teachers to provide the highest quality education during the school day.  Supported by our experienced and helpful team, this is an opportunity to made a real difference to the lives of the children throughout all aspects of their school day within a forward thinking, caring setting that includes a swimming pool, STEM Room, Eco Room, Dedicated Wrap-Around Care Room and Woodlands.

Main purpose:

As Wrap Around Care Supervisor, you will place a crucial role in supervising and actively supporting the team on a daily basis who support our children before and after school. In addition, throughout the school day, you will be a senior member of our support staff team, actively supporting teaching in the classroom and leading small, targeted groups of pupils to enable our children to grow and flourish. 

Job Description

As a Wrap Around Care Supervisor and Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students before and after school and throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • In partnership with our Club Manager, plan and arrange provision and events for children who attend our Sunflower Club.
  • Lead and Supervise the Wrap Around Care Club sessions overseeing our dedicated team
  • Supervising and engaging children in a variety of activities during wrap around care hours.
  • Assisting and leading the Wrap Around Care Club team and users
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
  • Supporting teachers in the classroom with daily tasks and activities.
  • Lead small groups and provided targeted educational support
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised environment.

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting or similar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a fun and safe learning environment.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for education and child development.

 

General requirements

  • An awareness of commitment to equality
  • Basic understanding of health and safety
  • Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
