CAMHS Phoenix School - Supply Teacher
At CAMHS Phoenix School, we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and support for young people aged 12 to 18 who have severe and enduring mental health illnesses.
We work with young people who are patients of CAMHS Phoenix Unit, Tier 4 day hospital. We support pupils continued learning and their successful reintegration to their home school. We complement the hospitals’ focus on recovery by seeking to minimise the future impact of admission on their educational progress.
A supply teacher is required on a casual basis to work with our KS3, 4 and 5 patients.
We require an inspirational and creative teacher who:
- is passionate about learning and teaching pupils;
- can motivate and lead pupils in learning;
- has proven good teaching across the curriculum;
- has experience of helping pupils overcome barriers to learning;
- is committed to working in partnership with students, parents, staff and other professionals;
- can work well in a team and show initiative;
- will prepare pupils to return to their home school;
- has experience of teaching in a mainstream setting.
