We are looking to increase our bank of Supply Learning Support Assistants to work on a flexible basis to support in the classroom. We are able to offer flexible hours and working arrangements.

Our school caters for pupils with a range of special education needs and disabilities across two sites located in Woodley and Farley Hill. Due to expansion of our Early Years Centre in Farley Hill, we have opportunities for supply staff from September 2024.

You will be providing support in the classroom to enable a high quality education for the pupils of Addington School and will be allocated to classes to cover staff absences.

With a flexible approach, you will have the ability to adapt to working with a range of pupils, will have a caring and positive attitude and will be committed to getting the best outcomes for our pupils. You will have previous experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities and we are keen to hear from applicants with early years experience.

We can offer:

  • The opportunity to work in a special school judged ‘outstanding’ with a highly experienced Senior Leadership Team
  • An environment committed to staff development and growing leadership
  • A school with a coaching and collaborative culture
  • Membership of an inclusive learning community with SEND expertise
  • A school where creativity and innovation is encouraged
  • Option to join Local Government Pension Scheme, Free Car Parking, Employee Assistance Programme, Staff Wellbeing Group, Flu Vaccinations, Access to Private Medical Scheme

Addington School offers an environment committed to staff development and a route into teaching for candidates looking for a stepping stone onto the SEND teacher ladder.

Please contact Amanda Cherry, HR Manager on 0118 966 9073 if you wish to discuss any further information.
