I would like to request, under the freedom of information act, the following information…

1. On October census day in 2024, 2023, 2022 and 2019, how many children and young people were you aware of being electively home educated in your local area?

2. Of these, how many were a) known to have an education, health and care plan or statement of special educational need, b) known to be claiming free school meals, c) known to social services, d) subject to a child protection enquiry, e) subject to a child protection plan

3. Of the pupils at question 1, please tell me what proportion for whom the primary reason for EHE was stated as a) philosophical, b) mental health, c) lifestyle, d) school dissatisfaction general, e) school dissatisfaction SEND, f) health Covid

4. Of the pupils at question 1, please tell me how many were in each key stage (reception to KS5)

5. During the 2023-24, 2022-23, 2021-22 and 2018-19 academic years, how many local children were known to be electively home educated at any point across the academic year (the cumulative total)?

6. In the academic years 2023-24, 2022-23 and 2018-19, how much income did the council receive from penalty notices for unauthorised school absences?
