Wokingham Borough Council staff working abroad

1. How many staff worked from abroad – full time or for a period of time – in the year ending 31 December 2023 (by abroad I mean overseas- ie not Wales or Scotland (or Rep. of Ireland if the local authority is in Northern Ireland))?
There were 5 Wokingham Borough Council staff members who have permission to and worked outside of the United Kingdom.
2. If any staff did work from abroad – full time or for a period of time – please name the country and the grade of the employee.

Our IT service have advised that supplying the Country could cause issues around our Cyber Security. If Countries were to be supplied, it may hinder our detection software from picking up threats as activity might be seen as the workers from those countries, and malicious attempts may try and mimic workers usage to circumnavigate our software detection. As a compromise we have supplied continent.
3. If for a period of time, please say how long the staff member worked abroad.
