Incident: 19 September 2023
Location: Outside front entrance of Emmbrook Infant School, Emmbrook Road, Wokingham, RG41 1JR
1. We are currently undertaking enquires with our client in relation to the above incident and in the meantime would kindly request the date of your last pre-accident inspection of this location, the frequency of inspections, how inspections are carried out (on foot or slow moving vehicle) and confirmation of any defects that were noted at the time of your last pre-accident inspection. Please can you provide a copy of the inspection records and finally, have any Section 81 Notices been issued to our Client?
Emmbrook Road, Wokingham, outside Emmbrook Infant School is inspected every 6 months on foot. The last inspection before the incident on 19 September 2023 was carried out on 05/06/2023. Although a defect was noted and a minor works order was raised at the time of inspection, it does not relate to the above incident. Details are supplied in the attached Excel inspection report, which also includes details of all relevant works by Wokingham Borough Highways in the vicinity of Emmbrook Primary School. The report has been redacted to remove personal information, and details of reports or works at other locations have been removed.
No relevant Section 81 notice has been issued for Emmbrook Road, Wokingham, for the area around Emmbrook Primary School.
