1. How many public car parks do you operate?
We operate 25 Public car parks we have excluded our Country parks car parks as the revenue for these is used to provide the Country parks only.
2. How many public car parking spaces were available in council-operated car parks in the following years;
a) 2022: 2624 spaces
b) 2023: 2825 spaces
c) 2024 until 1st April 2024: 2875 spaces
3. How much you did / do charge for parking in the following years or whether it is free for the period referenced and the operational hours of your charging.
a) Average / typical hourly day time rate £
i. 2022: Variable hourly rate depending on car park location ranging from free/ 50p/80p and £1.50
ii. 2023: Variable hourly rate depending on car park location ranging from free/ 50p/80p and £1.50 This changed in June 2023 to Free/£1.00/ £1.30
iii. 2024 until 1st April 2024: Variable hourly rate depending on car park location ranging from Free/£1.00/ £1.30
iv. 2024 – 2025 financial year: Variable hourly rate depending on car park location ranging from Free/£1.10/ £1.40
b) Average / typical hourly evening rate £
i. 2022: Evening charges only applied at 2 car parks at £1.00 all evening
ii. 2023: Evening charges introduced in June 2023 to all car parks at £1.00 all evening
iii. 2024 until 1st April 2024: Evening charges remain at £1.00 all evening
iv. 2024 – 2025 financial year: Evening charges remain at £1.00 all evening

i. 2022: 8am to 6pm

iv. 2024 – 2025 financial year: 6am to 6pm
f) Evenings – please provide timings (ie evening rates apply 6pm – 11pm)
i. 2022: 6pm to 8am
ii. 2023: 6pm to 8am changing in June 2023 to 6pm to 10pm then free from 10pm to 6am
iii. 2024 until 1st April 2024: 6pm to 10pm then free from 10pm to 6am
iv. 2024 – 2025 financial year: 6pm to 10pm then free from 10pm to 6am
