Rumours abound about the Royal Berkshire hospital being rebuilt on a greenfield site adjacent to the Science Park at Shinfield together with a new M4 junction between Earley and Winnersh.
1. Please inform me about relevant Wokingham Borough Council Policy regarding this to include details/outcomes of any discussions ,meetings (inclusive of any illustrative plans and costs) with the University of Reading, Reading BC and National Highways.
Wokingham Borough Council has no policy relating to the Royal Berkshire Hospital (RBH), but we are aware that the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust are in a process looking how future services might be provided. The process, which includes public engagement, is considering both the redevelopment of the existing RBH site as well as the case for relocation. We understand that the Trust has identified land within Shinfield Parish as one option they are investigating.
