Drought

Thames Water and South East Water have issued Temporary Use Ban Notices.

Having had below-average rainfall for past 24 months the south east of England is officially in drought status and restrictions on the use of water now apply. If you use a hosepipe for domestic purposes, in breach of the restrictions, you are wasting water and risk being fined for doing so.

The Environment Agency has provided information on how individuals and businesses can conserve supplies and why you should save water.

Information is also available on the effects of the dry weather for residents with a private domestic water supply and actions that can be taken to help ensure a continued supply.
