Stay Active (Over 55s Club)

08 July 2011 - 08 July 2014 Sports Park, The University of Reading, Shinfield Road, RG6 6UR Stay Active is a weekly session for the over 55's. The Sports Park offers a morning of activities which will help you Stay Active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Activities include: •Badminton/Table tennis •Squash/Racquetball •Tennis •Gentle fitness and yoga classes •Gym You will be able to enjoy all of these activities for just £3.90 per session. Plus enjoy a tea or coffee in our cafe Eat@SportsPark. There's no need to register in advance, you can just turn up on the day.

Dyslexia Action - Parents Dyslexia Awareness Course

26 April 2012 - 12 July 2012 Earley CResCent Resource Centre, Warbler Drive, Lower Earley, Berkshire, RG6 4HB A course for parents of children with dyslexia to gain an understanding about the hidden learning disability and ways to support children with literacy and numeracy at home. The course is in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council and will be run by specialists qualified in providing advice and guidance about dyslexia.

WOFF Meeting

Making our Parks for People free event

30 May 2012 - 30 May 2012 Beansheaf Community Centre in Linear Park, Charrington Road, Calcot, Reading RG31 7AW The Mid and West Berks Local Access Forum and the Friends of Linear Park have organised a free event on Wednesday 30 May. This is an opportunity for all members of the community to meet and discuss the importance of our local parks and open spaces and how to make them more accessible for all. There will be guided walks of the park followed by a cold buffet and group discussions and a session led by the Local Access Forum.
